Project :
Remove carpet adhesive from concrete floor for remodeling and renovation of local bakery facility. (working in confined areas)
Standard Procedure :
Per local flooring and equipment rental company's recommendations; scarify, grind, and or scrape adhesive from concrete surface.
Apply a proprietary, non-hazardous, biodegradable solvent solution to surface. Allow to soak for 5 to 10 minutes, scrub with bush, mop or vacuum up. Removes adhesive with no residue, low fumes, no hassle.

Problem/Situation :
Current process utilized chlorinated solvents. Cleaning and dry time was excellent, however, environmental and health issues were extremely negative. Regulatory compliance and disposal fees were cumbersome and expensive.
LAD's Solution :
LAD developed "NWL Tank Cleaner", a water soluble, non-hazardous, parts washing solvent. Designed for use with heated ultrasonic cleaners, it met cleaning specifications, while greatly reducing the costs of cleaning chemicals, regulatory and waste treatment fees.

Project 1 of 3 :
Metal working fluid for tapping of stainless steel tubes
National brand synthetic fluid in use left a sticky film that interfered with down line plating process. The product also had poor lubricating performance, resulting in a high cost of material processing and short tool life. In addition, fluid solution was murky, preventing visual detection of leaks in pressure test process.
LAD's premium synthetic metal working fluid (with no dye) improved tapping performance and tool life at a lower use percentage and lower cost per gallon. Stickiness on parts was eliminated and the clear solution enabled visual detection of leaks.
Project 2 of 3 :
Metal parts washing
Competitors products were dependent on a high pH solution to clean. High pH caused problems with waste water disposal and potential hazards to employee exposure.
LAD's "Endurable Tank Cleaner" provided a water soluble, non-hazardous, mild pH solution that effectively cleaned parts at a lower concentration while remaining in compliance with local city waste water treatment regulations.
Project 3 of 3 :
Rinse Stage
Current process utilized straight city water supply (hard), which was resulting in a poor rinse and hard water residue that interfered with further processing.
LAD provided a water conditioning additive that softened the water, improved rinsing, and resolved the problem at a very low cost and use concentration.

Janitorial and Maintenance Supply Inventory Control
Client had various stock from numerous suppliers. Many were "duplicate" products under different brand names. Several items were obsolete or no longer in use, but kept in stock and restocked at supplier's discretion (and customers expense) due to "vendor controlled inventory" set up.
LAD streamlined inventory items, eliminating duplicates and obsolete products. Minimum - Maximum inventory quantities were set up based on usage, lead time, and on hand inventory value parameters. Control of restock orders was returned to client and substantial cost savings were achieved.
